Safeguarding Policy

RiyActive Group is committed to providing a safe, secure, and positive environment for all participants, especially children and young people. This Safeguarding & Welfare Policy outlines our responsibilities and approach to protecting participants from harm.


1. Our Commitment

  • Safeguarding the welfare of all children, young people, and vulnerable adults in our care.

  • Promoting a culture of safety, respect, and inclusion.

  • Taking all suspicions, allegations, and disclosures of abuse seriously.


2. Responsibilities

  • Management: Ensure policies are in place, staff are trained, and procedures are followed.

  • Staff & Coaches: Maintain professional boundaries, follow safeguarding training, and report concerns immediately.

  • Parents/Guardians: Provide accurate emergency and medical information, support safeguarding measures.

  • Participants: Follow safety instructions and respect others.


3. Code of Conduct

  • All staff, volunteers, and contractors must:

  • Always act in the best interests of participants.

  • Avoid any behaviour that could be perceived as exploitative, abusive, or inappropriate.

  • Maintain professional communication (no private messaging/social media contact with minors).

  • Never use physical punishment or degrading treatment.


4. Recruitment & Training

  • All staff working with children undergo background checks where legally required.

  • Safeguarding and first aid training are mandatory for relevant staff.


5. Reporting Concerns

  • Concerns about a child’s welfare should be reported immediately to the Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO) at RiyActive Group.

  • Allegations against staff or volunteers will be handled according to UAE laws and child protection guidance.

  • Confidentiality will be maintained, but safety takes priority.


6. Health & Safety

  • Activities will be risk-assessed to ensure safe delivery.

  • Emergency procedures, first aid availability, and insurance cover are in place.

  • Parents/guardians must disclose any relevant medical conditions of participants.


7. Online Safety

  • Any digital sessions will be delivered through secure platforms.

  • Recording of sessions is prohibited without prior consent.

  • Personal data of minors will be handled with strict confidentiality.

8. Review & Updates

This policy will be reviewed annually or after any safeguarding incident, and updated as needed to reflect UAE legal requirements and best practices.
